Bringing together the brightest and most promising young conservatives, providing them with useful tools for activism and militancy, and creating a transnational network of people and organizations. These are the goals of the Wokebusters Bootcamp, an international project conceived and implemented by the Machiavelli Center and the Hungarian Center for Fundamental Rights (CFR).
The first edition was held in Hungary, September 12-14, 2024, and saw some 25 young people arrive for the event, selected from the leading patriotic organizations in the Western world. Europeans, Israelis, Americans and Latin Americans, all united by the love for their homeland and the desire to counter the harmful woke ideology.

The initiative was launched in Budapest on September 12, with speeches by István Kovács and Péter Törcsi for the CFR and Daniele Scalea for the Machiavelli. President Scalea highlighted how the shift from mass parties to “machine” parties exalts the value of professionalism and skills, which the Bootcamp aims to provide to these young people. He also focused on the international nature of the initiative. “Transnational has always been a term in vogue among globalists, for whom borders and nations have no meaning” said Daniele Scalea “but by now even patriots have realized that there are many shared challenges and opponents, so it no longer makes sense to face them alone.”. Participants were able to visit the Hungarian Parliament, welcomed by Zsolt Németh, head of the Foreign Affairs Committee.
The next day the Bootcamp moved to Lake Balaton to begin a tight seminar session spread over two days. Topics included the cultural battle, border defense, family policies, political communication, and national sovereignty. Among the speakers were MEPs Ernő Schaller-Baross, Kinga Gál and Susanna Ceccardi, and Hungarian State Secretaries Zsófia Koncz and Barna Pál Zsigmond.

Machiavelli President Daniele Scalea spoke again, this time to discuss immigration with Robert Law, a homeland security expert from the America First Policy Institute and formerly part of the Trump Administration. In this context, the Italian speaker lamented that Europe's difficulties in defending itself against mass illegal immigration do not depend on technological deficiencies or the absence of material tools to counter it: the failures are entirely to blame for the lack of political will and legislative obstacles that we ourselves have put in place.
Along with Robert Law were other American experts, such as Paul Orfanedes of Judicial Watch, Daniel Whitehead former advisor to Governor De Santis, James Carafano of Heritage Foundation, and Jonathan Jakubowski of Forge Leadership Network. These brought the wealth of experience gained in activism and think tanks from conservative-oriented American civil society. Some young people from the United States were also present as students. In total, 20 nations were represented among the participants.
“The success of this first edition, which was greatly appreciated by all participants, encourages us to persist on the path of education, to train a new generation of patriots ready to commit themselves for the good of Western nations”, President Scalea remarked in conclusion. “I am therefore proud to announce that the second edition, in 2025, will be held in Italy itself.”.
