The European Union faces one of its greatest challenges: the massive migratory flows converging on it from the south and east. The pressure generated has created insecurity and dissatisfaction in many nations and also put the relations between EU member states in crisis. How can this great challenge be faced and won?

The Identity and Democracy Foundation (of which the Machiavelli Center for Political and Strategic Studies is a member) is promoting this international conference in Rome, Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Grand Hotel Palatino on Via Cavour 213/M.

Speakers from Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, and Hungary will discuss how to strengthen the EU's external borders, ensure solidarity among member states, counter illegal immigration, reduce insecurity, dissuade migrants and countries of origin, and address Europe's legal and demographic vulnerabilities.

The official languages of the event are Italian and English. Simultaneous translation will be available for all presentations. A refreshment will be offered at the end of the conference. The ID Foundation is partly funded by the European Parliament and has sole responsibility for this conference.

To participate, registration is required via the email address indicated in the program (downloadable in pdf: ITA | ENG).
