The war without adjectives, made of large armies aiming at military victory, is back in Europe. Both the West and the Russians have realized this, but for now only the latter are willing to face it (and thus win it).

Russian military aggression is an indicator of what could happen. Authoritarian powers may become convinced that the time has come to reshape the world by taking advantage of the weakness shown by Biden.
NATO deluded and then abandoned Ukraine. Beyond the moralizing, Putin wins. While NATO loses Ukraine and - more importantly - Russia in one fell swoop. Perhaps it is time to rethink the overall strategy?

Now it is up to us to decide what to do. We have to do it bearing in mind that international law counts for little, in this crisis, and that those who want to identify "good" and "bad" are sinning in simplicity, naivety or bad faith. There are only interests and choices of will.
From this brief experience in the Ukrainian land, which gave me more questions than answers, I take with me the awareness of how the Far East of Europe is a complex world and, in many ways, difficult to understand for us Westerners.
The crisis in Ukraine is far from over; rather, we can say that it is heading towards the conclusion of a round. Let us therefore try to draw some lessons from this red-hot round. In a nutshell, the question is only one: who won and who lost?
