On the 50th anniversary of the 1973 war, Hamas launched a surprise attack out of Gaza that stunned Israel and left hundreds dead. Now the Israeli counter-offensive is mounting.

We will be discussing the Hamas attack and the Israeli response with Ariel Bulshtein (journalist and lawyer, former advisor to the Prime Minister of Israel) and Efraim Inbar (president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategy and Security). Two members from the Machiavelli Center will also be joining the discussion: Lorenzo Bernasconi, research fellow, and Daniele Scalea, president.
